Now, hell get his first taste of brutal rivalry from other schools as he braves the cutthroat, no-holds-barred provisional license exam. The award for "funniest scene" is a toss-up between this moment and the climactic reveal of just who is going to win the swimming race at the episode's end. In a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered Quirk, Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. The joke comes when homeroom instructor Eraser Head starts to run through the Class 1-B roll for a fellow teacher before he's, thankfully, interrupted by the newly arrived students. They really do go through each and every student here by way of a recap in order to re-familiarize viewers with the extensive cast of characters. Perhaps most importantly, and easily the funniest bit of the Season 3 opener, is the roll call that runs down the students of Class 1-A and their abilities. In other words, "Game Start" is like CliffsNotes for My Hero Academia. have either a contentious rivalry or a sense of reverence when it comes to others training alongside them. You'll understand why certain members of U.A. You'll see how Deku gained his powers and the respect of his fellow students. Fair warning: You will have the big moments of Seasons 1 and 2 spoiled for you if you start with this episode, obviously, but the upside is that it really hammers home the important turning points of the story so far.
